Abstract
This talk will survey user management and access control mechanisms
within the Globus and Condor toolkits and attempt to highlight the
strong points, the weak points, and how new or emerging standards,
such SAML, XACML, and WS-*, could be used to bolster existing, or
create more robust, mechanisms. Issues identified here must be addressed
before Grids can become utilities for general usage.
