The lofty chimneys of the Catania sulphur refineries, no longer used as industrial sites since the end of the Second World War, restaured by the Catanian architect, Giacomo Leone, are now a beautiful example of industrial archaeology, that with its historical memory and its suggestive architecture, represent the economic, social and cultural development of the present. Facing the Mediterranean Sea, with its 25,000 Sqm, is the site for exhibitions, trades, congresses and many cultural events.
