1) Call for Submissions for Themed Sessions*
The Summit 09 Program Committee invites proposals for sessions that will provide a forum for discussion among researchers and practitioners in areas of special interest within academia, industry and government. Possible session topics include challenges, opportunities, lessons learned and future directions around areas related to advanced computing and cyberinfrastructure. Areas of exploration may include:- Cloud computing
- HPC / grid resource providers
- Service-oriented networks
- Network-enabled platforms and virtual organizations
- Social networking, web 2.0
- Green IT
- Other emerging cyberinfrastructure
- Demos
Submissions should include the following information:
- Session Title and theme (or topic)
- Information about previous offering(s) of the session, if applicable
- Name, affiliation, and research interest of the session organizer(s)
- Expected attendance at the session
- Outline of a plan for attracting submissions and/or participants
- Outline of a plan for organizing the session. Provide an estimated time line for the major milestones (such as selection of a program committee; call for papers (online and mailing lists); submission deadline; notification deadline; call for participation, etc.).

2) Peer-reviewed/IEEE Workshops
The Call for IEEE Workshops was released on March 9, 2009 and is now closed. Three peer-reviewed workshops have been accepted and are now accepting submissions of their own:-Service Level Agreements in Grids Workshop
