BEinGRID: Cross Technical Activities: Major Findings (90 mins)
Josep Martrat (Atos Origin)

Further to their supportive role to the Business Experiments in BEinGRID, the technical cross activity contributes by analysing and eliciting common requirements across the BEs, their dependences, design patterns, best-practice guidelines, common capabilities and generic components. Missing components are being developed in the cross technical activities. These evolutions are being consolidated for some software foundations in order to be reusable and will be offered through the repository. The generic components cover common functionalities for different technological areas such as Trust&Security, Data Management, SLA (QoS provisioning), Licensing, Virtual Organisations and Portals. This session will explain the major findings.

"Examples of BEinGRID components"

So what is a BEinGRID technical component? In this talk we focus on a few of them. We discuss the use cases that motivated these components before describing their functionality and the scenario for their validation. The intention is to stimulate the audience to consider what the BEinGRID components can do for them or maybe to assess if their own work can be exploited beyond its originally intended use.

Stefan Wesner
