As a launching point to the BEinGRID Industry Days event, OGF and BEinGRID have provided interesting speakers that give a more commercial view of grids and related distributed computing technologies.
The second speaker is Diego Pavia, CEO Atos Origin Iberia who will be speaking on the topic of “From grid to utility. Enterprise IT evolution�.
Diego PavĂa BardajĂ holds a degree in industrial engineering from the Madrid Higher Technical College of Industrial Engineering. He has devoted his entire career to consultancy. In 1991, he joined Sema Group sae, where he held various national and international management positions. Following the merger of Sema Group with Schlumberger Limited in May 2001, Mr. PavĂa was appointed international vice-chairman of the energy & utilities global business unit, and then became global chairman for energy & utilities, overseeing a group of more than 2,000 professionals specialising in the energy sector. In February 2002, Diego PavĂa became managing director for Spain and Portugal for all of SchlumbergerSema’s business in the sector. Following SchlumbergerSema’s buy-out by Atos Origin in 2004, he then became Atos Origin’s managing director for Spain, Portugal and Latin America which is his current position.
