Following a recommendation by OGF area directors in OGF23, the Network Services Interfacee working group has been proposed by a merger of two OGF-23 BoFs: Dynamic Management of Network Resources BOF and Grid Network Interface BOF.

A draft NSI charter has been prepared by the co-chairs of the DMNR and GNI BoFs and will be reviewed in this session. The purpose of this NSI-WG is to define an interface for interoperation between Grid and Network infrastructures and Network domains. This will include both network-to-network and middleware-network implementations.

The charter has now been agreed by the co-chairs of the DMNR and GNI BoFs and also by the OGF steering committee. This session has been updated from a BoF to the first NSI working group meeting
