Update from Italy/UK (30 mins)

Towards a national Italian Grid Infrastructure (IGI) and the industrial grid exploitation: the consortium for Open Middleware Enabling Grid Application( c-OMEGA) Presented by Dr. Mirco Mazzucato, INFN Grid Project Manager and CNAF Director
The talk will review the different grid infratsructure projects in Italy and the recent attempt to move towards and integrated national grid infrastructure for Science with the IGI Association and to promote the grid exploitation by industry with the c-OMEGA consortium

A brief overview of the UK's National Grid Service with examples of the sort of applications currently supported or planned for the future. I will highlight some of the constraints which we work with as a general production service and some of the challenges ahead of us.
