Wednesday, January 31
9:00 am - 10:30 am
Enterprise Adoption (1/2) (90 mins)
View Participants

The purpose of the session is to discuss the issues and concerns around Enterprise Adoption and determine what the appropriate outreach to enterprise is to address those concerns. At OGF 19 we will define and gather feedback, at OGF20 we will focus on the implementation of the outreach and ideally by OGF21 we will have a full enterprise track. An idea is to provide a session in the Enterprise track in order to educate Enterprise folks about the concepts and benefits of grid as well as the OGF organization. An additional goal is to provide this information to the audience in a way that minimizes the investment of both time and money on the part of the attendees. The value to the attendees would be educational; an opportunity to learn about the high level benefits and applications of grid computing as well as learn about OGF and why they might want to become involved with the organization. The benefit to OGF is to provide an outreach opportunity to educate and foster participation in OGF.

The first (9:00am) session will be used to brainstorm ideas for the following topics:
- what do people want to know about Enterprise Adoption
- what does Enterprise need from OGF
- who should be the target audience for this Outreach session
- what is the best way to target the audience
- what steps are necessary to develop this into a full-fledged Enterprise track
- who is available to help with this initiative

The second (11:00am) session will be used to prioritize ideas and produce a plan of execution for OGF19 with the end goal of having this session be the kick off for a full one day Enterprise track for OGF21.
