In large corporate data centers, grids are frequently composed of diskless blade or racked systems connected via storage and communications fabric. Major storage vendors are developing technology ideally suited to the provisioning of such grid systems. We present the business and use cases for this technology, as well as some testing data that demonstrates the viability and robustness of the approach.
