What can Microsoft products do for you?
(90 mins)

Microsoft has a varied product line which meets some of the current research needs of the technical community – ranging from operating systems, generic office applications, to the support of high performance computing across Windows clusters. The Technical Computing Initiative (TCI) engages with the science community to see how Microsoft can support their activity through their current products and service, and to help define future products and services where they do not.
The presentations will focus on the OGF standards that have been integrated into the Windows Compute Cluster Server and the scope for future standardization activity as the commoditization of technical computing resources continues. More broadly the role of OGF and its activities in supporting an end-to-end vision of High Productivity Computing, as envisaged by the Technical Computing Initiative will be discussed.
