Measuring the semantic content of resource properties
is crucial for implementing distributed knowledge
systems. Although this problem is known to be NP-complete,
the emergence of several polynomial time heuristics
gives us cause for optimism. Ceteris paribus, the selection
of one heuristic over another would appear to be a matter
of taste, yet each flavour has subtle consequences of its
own. In this Ad Hoc BoF, we shall discuss strategies
for deriving bounds on the error induced in the
semantic quotient of the underlying social network.
