The purpose of this community group is to provide a platform for exchange and gather best practices on the topic of build, test and certification of Grid software.

Focus/Purpose
The purpose of this community group is to provide a platform for exchange and gather best practices on the topic of build, test and certification of Grid software.

Scope
The scope of this group is to document and share current practices and short term plans on the topic of build, test and certification of Grid software (including middleware and application deployed on the Grid). These best practices include latest tools and techniques currently used in the process of building, testing and certifying Grid middleware and Grid application software.

This group is not there to mandate how Grid middleware and application software should be built, tested and certified.

We hope that through its group members, the group both represents academia and industry.

Goals
The goals of the BTC-CG may be defined by a set of deliverables and the milestones for their delivery. This group will capture its work in document on best practices in building, testing and certifying Grid middleware and Grid application software. In order to achieve this goal, data will be collected and published in stages.
