Group Description
The Storage Networking Community Group (SNCG) is for vendors and users who are interested in and/or are already involved in providing or leveraging data storage resources in/for Grid systems; as well as, to share experiences and set priorities around Storage Networking.
 
Group Focus and Scope
Specifically, the SN-CG will meet to:
- continue the work of the EGA's Data Provisioning working group in cataloging existing commercial grid storage systems
- provide a forum for joint work between OGF and SNIA
- develop a taxonomy of grid storage terms and vet it with other OGF Community and Standards groups, as well as with external groups such as SNIA, DMTF and others
- develop requirements documents that identify gaps in current standards and technology
