RE: [cgs-wg] MOF for JSIM
Ellen, I am viewing a ComputerSystem as hardware (that may be shared),
an OS and the Services hosted on it. ComputerSystems may be a component
(related using CIM_Component) of another uber-ComputerSystem - but you
still want to distinguish the individual "systems" and their
hardware/software.
Maybe I am thinking about this differently than you. Does my
explanation help?
Andrea

Andrea,
I'm a bit confused on item 7. when you say you expect multiple systems
to
be place
when there are multiple OSs, I'm not sure what you mean. Please explain
because
I'm not comfortable with removing the OSservicingJob association yet -
and
I haven't
heard any feedback from the others in this workgroup.

More corrections to the BatchJob MOF. Here are the changes that I made:
1. BatchJob is not weak to BatchQueue. The Propagated keys were
removed.
2. BatchJob inherits from ConcreteJob. I changed the MOF from Job to
ConcreteJob to reflect this.
3. Changed JobID in BatchJob to be REQUIRED.
4. BatchQueue's "statistical" properties are repeated in the Queue
class and the QueueStatisticalData class. I removed them from the Queue
class.
5. Fixed the Description of BatchQueue's QueueStatus property to
reference the correct MSE "status" property (OperationalStatus). Status
has been deprecated.
6. Changed all enums to follow the DMTF convention Unknown=0, Other=1,
...
7. I removed the OSServicingJob association, since we know the System
that is the ExecutionTarget. Also, although you "know" the System, it
is usually unlikely that you know the details of the OS on the System.
Therefore, ExecutionTarget is easier to instantiate and manage. From
the System, you can get to the OS. If there are multiple OS's on a
System, then I really think that you have multiple Systems in place.
8. Cleaned up all Descriptions for grammar, white space, etc.

FYI - There were some errors in this MOF file. The corrected MOF file is
attached.
