Dear all--

As posted by a few weeks ago, I am reviving the Semantic Grid primer
activity, so if you will be at GGF and want to participate in an extra,
informal meeting, please let me know.

Hello,

Many thanks for the submissions to the workshop - papers are currently under review and we will announce a first draft of the program next week. I'm pleased with the response and am
also pleased to see that the community is broadening.

Reminder - our workshop is on Thursday June 10, and GGF workshops typically run from 8.30am to 6pm. It's open to all GGF participants. The advance registration deadline for GGF11 is May 14 - see

http://www.gridforum.org/Meetings/GGF11/reg.htm

I understand that there will be a one day pass for $100 available for people who only wish to attend that day.

I have also requested a Semantic Grid Research Group session at
GGF11, for us to address business matters such as interactions
with other groups, charter revisions, the primer etc. I have
asked for this to be on the Wednesday to make it easier to attend this and the workshop together - I'll let you know when this is confirmed.

It's not been officially announced yet but there will be another workshop on the Thursday which is partly linked with us. It's "Social Factors, Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences: Old Challenges and New Disciplines for Grid Computing". The group running this have been very supportive of Semantic Grid (and I expect to make a brief guest appearance in their workshop!) I look forward to telling you some more about Semantic Grid in the arts and humanities when we meet.

Thanks - I look forward to seeing you in Hawaii!
