Semantic Grid at GGF7
Hello again,
The main item of business for this research group just now is preparation
for GGF7 in Tokyo in March. We need to put together an agenda for a
Semantic Grid session, then ask our area chair to schedule us.
We have an offer of a talk from Reagan Moore, which is excellent. Of
course, Carole and I can speak - though many people have heard us before.
We can also solicit reports from our own Semantic Grid projects. But we'd
really like to cast the net wider and involve as many people as possible,
perhaps with a number of short presentations.
To focus this, what we'd really like to move towards is a "primer" - some
introductory web pages which explain how to make good use of basic
Semantic Web technologies when developing Grid applications.
So ideally we'd like to hear from people who are doing that - e.g. using
RDF or RDFS to describe grid resources of any kind. But equally we'd like
to hear about people's requirements e.g. if you already have some form of
metadata description standards, shared vocabularies etc and are wondering
how to use Semantic Web technologies.
Those are just some thoughts - please let me know what *you* would
like to get out of a Semantic Grid session at GGF7. The more attractive
we can make the agenda, the more successful the session will be.
To get the ball rolling, does anyone on this list have some requirements
or some experience to report with respect to semantic grid technologies?
Thanks
