Nominations for OGF Leadership Positions
With OGF's second year coming to a close, the NOMCOM will be participating in the process to fill three At-Large Board of Director seats and numerous other leadership positions during the next several months. An open call for nominations is now open .
About the NOMCOM
The NOMCOM solicits and selects or recommends candidates to fill OGF leadership positions, such as Vice Presidents, Area Directors and at-large Board Members. It gives the OGF community a way to influence who serves in these positions and also gives the chosen members a community mandate.
NOMCOM Formation Process
Volunteers are being requested to serve on the 2008-2009 NOMCOM. Anyone who has participated in 2 of the last 4 GGF/OGF events is eligible to serve on the NOMCOM. Anyone volunteering for the NOMCOM will not be eligible to serve in any of the leadership positions being filled by the NOMCOM in this year. NOMCOM members receive nominations for leadership positions, collect additional information on candidates (resumes/CV's), verify their qualifications to serve as leaders in the community, and present a slate of qualified nominees to the OGF President. Committee members can expect to offer 4-6 hours per month during the next 3-4 months. To volunteer, please send email to the NOMCOM chair (address below). The chair will contact you to discuss eligibility and formally accept you as a member of the committee.
